Learning English online alone is difficult without proper feedback, structure, practice and discipline. Learning a language requires an intensive learning approach, especially in the beginning. Staying on track and progressing can be challenging without a teacher or intensive lesson structure. You might also have limited interaction with others using the language and limited exposure to the culture. Language and culture are intertwined, and online resources often focus on grammar and syntax, rather than the cultures, customs and traditions of the language you are trying to learn.
All EC Live courses, whether our General courses or Business English Modules, are held with the same lesson structure we will go over in this blog post. Courses are held at different times of the day, but they are all the same lengths of in-person time with the teacher with is 90 minutes. We deliver online English lessons for adults and

Intensive lesson structure
With EC Live, we make sure that besides offering live lessons with a flexible schedule and an international classroom, the EC Live lesson structure is an intensive lesson to learn English online. EC Live follows progressive and intensive lessons using the latest data and research to inform our teaching and learning.
EC Live Lessons use a task before and after every lesson, either reading, writing, listening or speaking, to consolidate the learning from the main lesson with the teacher. These tasks provide a structure of study and practice into the student’s schedule around the content of their live lessons of the day.
The Pre-Lesson Task is done individually before the lesson, preparing students for class to understand the language points from their teachers and helps them use their time effectively with their teacher online. The Post-Lesson Task is done in collaboration with other students after the live lesson.

Students prepare at their own pace, allowing them to come to the classroom discussions feeling confident and prepared to participate fully in the lesson.
Main Lesson
Students join the EC Live online class via Microsoft Teams in small groups of 4-8 students. The teacher guides the lesson with objectives and goals to learn new language and skills around a topic. The teacher also reviews questions and answers from Pre-Lesson Task.
The teacher will also set-up the Post-Lesson Task for students collaboration, and the next Pre-Lesson task for the next day!
