Pre lesson task
15 minutes – individual preparation
Before class, the teacher will assign questions for students to prepare. It could be reading, video, or article from the course book or EC Online’s Flashpoints. This helps students come prepared to fully participate and get their best from the lesson.
Main lesson
90 minutes – live class
8-10 students worldwide collaborate via Microsoft teams with their English teacher. The teacher gives the objective of the lesson, discusses questions from the Pre-Lesson task, a new language learning point and set-up of the Post Lesson Task activity for student collaboration.
Post lesson task
30 minutes – student collaboration
After class, students complete a post-activity that includes writing or speaking. They upload their work on Teams and discuss virtually with their group while the teacher monitors the chat. This way they can self-evaluate, set goals and see progress while achieving the best results.

Lessons have a maximum of 10 students per class.
If you are not prepared for your online session or if you do not hand in your post-session activity, you will be marked absent for half the lesson.
We will ask you to complete your placement test through MyEC a few days before your starting date, and we will assign you to the according level depending on your results.
Yes, you can, but your course will stop week by week as well and you will break the flow of your learning experience. We highly recommend booking a minimum of 4 weeks at a time.
Yes, once your online English course is finished, you will receive an e-certificate. A hard copy can be provided for a small charge.
Assessments are completely personalized and you are tested on teacher recommendation based on your participation in class and on collaborative tasks.
